timhacker-docshots.com: Bio

I am a physician with a longstanding keen interest in photography. I have taken a few software and photo courses at the Light Photographic Workshops (formerly called Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging).

I have been juried into various art shows, including the Toledo Area Artists Show, Art On The Mall at UT, Crosby Gardens Art Festival in Toledo, Levis Commons Art Fair in Perrysburg, Black Swamp Art Show in Bowling Green, Lourdes College Art Show, Art Birmingham and Great Lakes Art Show in Novi, Michigan. I have won awards in various contests I have entered. I received 3rd place in photography at my first attempt at Crosby Gardens. I have had several works at the Collectors Corner gift shop at the Toledo Art Museum.

My photographs are all actual photographs some of which have been "altered by photopainting" or manipulated for special effects on the computer rather than in the darkroom since they are digital. I process the images with a variety of software programs including Adobe Lightroom 4, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Corel Painter, Photomatix, Helicon Focus, On One Software suite and a multitude of PS plug-ins, etc.

I presently use a Canon D1 Mark III and a Canon 5D Mark III after many years of 35mm Canon EOS use. I use an Epson 7800 and an Epson 3880 printer.
